A wide selection of cultural happenings to choose from. Bring your friends, your children and everyone who would enjoy a weekend in the Platteland, filled with good wine, good art and loads of entertainment.

The Annual Tulbagh Arts Festival is around the corner.
Local Tulbagh artists has taken the initiative to make this festival happen again after it had been cancelled last year. It does seem like this year will be even fuller, better and bigger than ever.
I am not even going to mention any artists, as I do not want to leave anyone out, but what I can promise you is that you will find some very well established South African artists exhibiting that weekend. And the best deal is probably that their work will sell at festival prices! Be sure not to miss this great opportunity to invest in a great name and a beautiful piece of art.

There will also be young up and coming South African artists who should be watched and followed, if you, like myself, invest in those more 'affordable' work, believing that one day you will have a collector's piece.

In addition to the artists exhibiting, there will be a market at Klipfontein Guest farm offering craft beer, live music, art and craft stalls and open lawns for little ones. The Tulbagh Hotel will host a show and a Barroom Boogie at Poplers Pub is on the menu (I wont miss this one for sure!)

Well okay. I was not going to mention any artists, but allow me this one; Clare Menck will be my featuring artist at our Group exhibition 72 HOURS in the Old Saronsberg Theatre. At 11h00 on Saturday morning she, as well as other popular artists will talk to us about their work, their inspirations and perhaps about their personal struggles, hope and fears in this very unique and passionate compulsion that drives them.
Herewith one of Clare's works that will be available at 72 HOURS.

I have attached the program for Friday 29th and Saturday 30 September. Please do go to their
FB Events Page to get all the detail on each event -https://www.facebook.com/tulbaghartsfestival/
